This stool is heavier and more solid than you would think - which is good. When I ordered it, I was concerned that it would be hollow and lightweight and of cheap plastic. It is not. I think that makes it sturdy and durable. It has a subtle grooved design on the lower half which gives it added style. I plan to use this in our shower - I had purchased shower stools but they all looked like "equipment". We're young and This has a modern, pleasant look and will add style to our bathroom.
