Blairstown Bookshelf - Coaster 5049 Bookshelf Review

I've looked at so many of these, my eyes were spinning.
Most have the "legs" in two pieces to make shipping easier.
...and they never seemed to align properly.
This one has the side supports made from one piece of some very hard wood.
The shelves appear to be all real wood, no strange edges.
The front of the shelf supports are nicely rounded.
The side beams have a notch to hold the shelves, so they can't tip.
Allen headed screws go through the inside of the shelves so there are no fasteners showing outside.
If I were to make a tiny improvement, I'd recess the screws in the side pieces, then nothing would show.
Also, the bottom shelf hits my baseboard before the shelves are perfectly level, but I have large baseboards.

I shopped everything from Pottery Barn to Target, and this is by far the best.
It should be, it cost twice of what the others sold for.

The box arrived from a very tired Fex-Ex guy, and was 45 pounds, and 77" long x about 30" wide.
Easy to assemble, basically, attach each shelf with a screw from the inside. They even include the Allen wrench, and all the fasteners were black.
I seem to remember reading that the finish was distressed black, but it's not, it's semi-gloss black.

I couldn't be happier, it cost more, and was worth every penny.

UPDATE: I see the price has skyrocketed to $238. I paid $181 and thought that was high, but worth it.
$238? Eh, shop around.
I hope Cymax didn't jack up the price based on my review.

UPDATE 2: I see the price is down to just pricey. $185. Get it for that price.
