Can Fixtures Review
I bought 16 of these for my kitchen and living room. The light quality is excellent and it only takes a few minutes to install each light. I can dim them no problem, but they only dim down to about 30%. There is a list of compatible dimmers. I wish they would make one that would fit into angled ceilings with swivel mounts. I have 20 ft high ceilings, so I'm so happy that I won't have to change this light for 20 years. Also note, that the 20 year lifespan doesn't mean they will burn out, it means that the light will only be 70% as bright at that time. These LED's are not your standard LED that you see flashlights and cheap bulbs made of. This is a seriously bright xlamp led from CREE. These lights also give off less heat, so you will save a bit on your AC bill as well. They are also non toxic to dispose of because they contain no lead or mercury. By my calculations, they will pay for themselves after 3-5 years, and then I'll pocket about $300 per bulb in energy savings alone for their lifetime. That doesn't include the savings in replacing them (time and $$ driving to the store and replacing them), or the savings in needing less AC. I can't say enough about this product. I know it costs a lot of money but I'm thrilled to know that I'm being green. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Cree LR6 LED - 12 Watt - Dimmable - Screw-In Base - 2700K Warm White - Fits 6 in.
