After reviewing lots of lamps, I purchased this. It's metal base is sturdy and holds up the lamp pretty well. After inserting 2 energy efficient light bulbs, I simply inserted the canvas top into the metal base and that's it. No tools required. The power code has a switch that you simply step on to turn the lamp on/off. It's decorative and beautiful to look at.

Adjustable Laptop Stand with Cooling Fans Review

How could I title this review without intending for it to sounding "kinky?"

I work on the computer and web browse in bed. This laptop stand maintains stability and optimal angle while typing, raises the computer off my lap/knees (which before was pinching some nerves), and cools the bottom so that I never hear my computer's fans in operation (indicating that it's too hot). The stand's cooling fans are very quiet - this coming from someone who is sensitive to the slightest noises. The adjustable legs offer a variety of positions, but once I decided on the settings that worked for me, I've never changed them.

Be aware, if you intend to use the stand in bed as I do, keep in mind the span between the stand's legs and the size of your hips.

Narrow Storage Cabinet w/ Recycle Bin / Trash Can Holder /or Laundry Hamper Review

Ikea-type product with good, clear directions. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to put together, discounting the time we spent figuring out that we had swapped the two hinge types. The trickiest part is adjusting the hinges so that the two doors are square and solid, and I will be interested to see how the swing out door at the bottom holds out under use. I'll report back after I've had it awhile.

For now, the product looks good and is perfect for the space and use I have for it. In case it is important to other prospective buyers, the back of the unit is merely black cardboard, not wood. It looks fine, but don't expect a wood finish on either side.

Kenroy Home 20115BS Marlowe Floor Lamp, Brushed Steel Review

This lamp came well packed, and assembled easily. I really like how it's simple, yet can be a focal point at the same time. I found only one other review while debating this purchase on another site. It dealt with an issue over the outer shade being misrepresented in the photograph, and poorly constructed. The shade is lighter than the photograph, but I have no problem with how it's assembled. This was a lil higher in price than what I wanted to spend, but it's definitely worth it. On a side note, it looks awesome with a black lace lampshade topper, not that it needs it though.

This carrier is HORRIBLE. Stay away from. It doesn't stay open. You have to prop open with a stick or with one hand while you load. VERY useless. If not, it slams shut on you. Also wheels do not stay on with pins. Have to spread pins open to keep wheels on. Lastly, cannot stay leaned up against a wall either! It falls to the ground. Computer Desk in Black - Coaster Review

For what I paid I am more than happy with this desk. It is plenty big, and very solid. It has a keyboard tray, so that your mouse and keyboard are slightly lower than the rest of the desk, which lets your arms be at the correct angle for comfort. I don't know why this is missing on so many other desks. I don't know if you can tell by the pictures, but there's a gap between the top of the desk and the left/back/right. 5 silver mounting things join the top board with the rest of it, which made me believe I would be able to slide a monitor arm through that gap without trouble. This brings me to the only bad thing I have to say. The board at the back of the desk which joins the left and right sides interferes with monitor arms. The gap under the top board is not big enough. I bought an HP single monitor arm along with this desk, and in order to mount the arm on the back edge of the top board I had to cut a little square off the top of the back board. I don't know if that's understandable. Just know that you will have to cut out some room back there for the clamp that monitor arms have. If you're just plopping your screen as-is on top of the desk you have nothing to worry about, although you will have less desk space. I have the entire top for paperwork and books since the monitor is suspended. :) Very nice. Also, the wooden edge that your wrists/arm rest on as you use the mouse and keyboard is rounded, not square, so that constant motion or rubbing won't peel off the veneers or anything. I like that. The last tiny desk I had was peeling at the edges, but that won't be an issue here. If you don't use the keyboard tray and put your devices directly on the top of the desk, your arms will be on square edges. That might damage the desk over time. Appropriate use with the tray will be fine though. Overall a good budget desk. I really hope I made sense.

Update Feb 2012- It's been some months and the desk is exactly as it was on day one. It's holding up well.
