Have had this lamp for several years. For $239 it is not bad but it certainly isn't great quality. If you use an incandescent bulb the shade gets very hot. Although the manufacturer says you can use up to 100 watts, a bulb of that size makes the shade so hot after almost no time at all that it is really a hazard. I found I had stopped using the lamp entirely. But then we got some LED bulbs at Home Depot and these work in the lamp quite well. They emit hardly any heat and the shade stays cool. I'm still not crazy about the lamp but am thinking of buying a second one nonetheless as we need a second one and would like a matched pair.
