The lamp isn't bronze, or even bronzed, it is black paint. I mean, I have furniture which is black paint, and I have furniture which is espresso stain, and you can tell the difference. This isn't a warm, not quite black finish on this lamp, it is just flat, black paint with some hints at color here and there around the base which no one will see once you have the lamp set it.

As floor lamps go, this is pretty short. Thankfully we're using it beside a pair of chairs and against a wall, so this isn't as awkward as it might have been. The downside to this is that the swing arm is much smaller than expected as well. Each of the two arms of the swing is a handful of inches.

The quality control on the parts is about on par with a factory made dinner roll. The knob which holds the shade in place isn't even an approximation of orthogonal and the shade itself hangs at an awkward angle.

Unlike the other review, my lamp did not include a bulb.

This is basically an IKEA quality lamp at double IKEA prices.
