This stool is attractive and sturdy. It is pretty heavy to carry around, but I purchased it specifically to keep and use in our large master closet with high shelves. It was a little tricky to use the release latch to close the stool; I bent the latch slightly the first time I used it because I pushed down instead of in. It bent right back without breaking, thank goodness. I think I just need to get used to the latch and it won't be a problem.
