It hurt me to pull this much money out of my wallet to buy this lamp but the pictures just looked so impressive and I thought this is one of those "once in a lifetime" purchases. I purchased both the floor lamp and matching table lamp. I was concerned that once the lamps arrived that the floor lamp might be like many floor lamps with a nice shade but with a flimsy pole made of thin steel. Not so on these beauties! The floor lamp is a heavy, beautifully sculpted iron and very solid. The lamp is just stunning up close. The beauty of the agate stones and the hue from the lamp is difficult to describe but it is mesmerizing like a fire in a fireplace with warm orange-yellow-red variations. The lamps give me a similar impression of looking at very expensive antique heirlooms. Their expensive and worth every penny!

Adesso 5029-22 Eternity Flat Head Floor Lamp, Satin Steel Review

I had read the reviews here of all the Adesso LED lights and knew that the LED technology provides less lighting than incandescent or halogen bulbs and are more expensive to purchase, with the benefit of being much more energy-efficient, heating up less, and lasting basically the life of the product (there are no bulbs that can be changed, but they say they last up to 100,000 hours). However LED lights have not historically been used as lighting because the bottom line is that they don't project too much light, but they're great for traffic lights, etc.

However some companies now are trying to use them now as lights. Adesso failed at doing so. This light just insufficiently lights up a single page to read, and as you move from the center, there is slightly less light. You can read and there is no glare, but I don't think it's enough lighting. I've read reviews here of another LED lamp that uses many more LED lights than Adesso's 20, and it gets good reviews but costs a lot more.

Also, the gooseneck design is poor. As other users have noted, it doesn't maintain it's position, e.g. you have to overbend it in one direction to get it to settle back somewhere in between.

For $15 total (with their mail-out coupon) at BB&B I got a nice, attractive, stainless steel halogen desk lamp w/ 2 brightness settings (the lower setting provides enough illumination, much more than this lamp) with a gooseneck head that works perfectly.

Lastly, this is the second Adesso lamp I buy. I bought the first, a halogen desk lamp, refurbished here. Within 4 months it broke completely after just minimal usage and never falling, etc. I got a partial but not complete refund from Amazon since it was past 1 month. Adesso would not repair or replace it, just sent me a new bulb, which I had already tried, which worked for literally around a minute before burning out. I had assumed that that lamp was just a lemon and refurbished, but now I believe this company makes poorly-built lamps.

At the time I bought this chair I was told that I was getting it at %61 off. Normally priced at $1,199.00 I was paying only $470.00. Now I don't think I would have paid the original price but I am very happy that I was able to get it for what I did. I am a Disabled Veteran and I go absolutely now where. So I spend my days and most nights on my computer. I stand 6'3" and at almost 300 pounds I need a comfortable chair. I've only had it a month now and I am extremely happy with it so far. It is very comfortable to sit in and it handles my large frame well. I just hope it stands up to the test of time. It was easy to assemble and was delivered quickly.
