Trademark Global 82-5351 Automatic Door Stop Then It Stays Open Review

This doorstop is a great idea. However, their implementation of the concept and the durability of the product are not so good. When working properly the metal bail (like on a fishing reel) alternates between staying up and coming down each time the white plunger/stop is depressed. As long as the door pushed against the stop relatively slowly each time it works as expected. If the spring loaded plunger/stop is not completely depressed the bail will not switch position and the door will bounce off the stop and you will have to try again. Not that big of a deal, however if the door is pushed against the stop to quickly it can bounce back before the bail has a chance to catch the hook portion that is attached to the door resulting in an out of sequence situation. Further attempts to push the door onto the stop result in the hook impacting the closed bail and bouncing off. Once you realize the out of sync situation (typically after a few failed attempts) you have to reach behind the door and manually depress the plunger/stop one time to get things back in sequence. In my experience the unit gets out of sequence at least once a day, which is much to frequent for me. After about 3 weeks of use the unit quit working entirely and the bail failed to switch position no matter how many times the plunger/stop was pushed. I like the idea of this product but would have to recommend looking for something else.

Purchased two of these chairs from Everything Overstock for $499 each. Great deal.
The chairs were in new condition but had several issues. The color received is black instead of the blue in the picture. The seat bottom adjustment was broken in both chairs. This may have been due to previous damage or poor packing, since the chairs did not arrive in the original box. In addition, one chair was missing a bushing, so the seat tilted slightly to the left. I decided not to pay for expensive shipping to return them and fixed them instead. The bushing was surprisingly available at Ace Hardware for $3.60. The rest of the parts came from Humanscale at no cost. When I disassembled the chairs to fix them, I was surprised to see that the bottom cushion had been manufactured in 2004. These must be really old stock. After a little effort, the chairs are great now.

The packaging was... interesting... but effective. Expect a tall box with lots of styrofoam. Unfortunately, this didn't protect the 3 included lights, which shattered in their boxes during shipping. No big deal though, I wanted to buy new lights anyways.

This light is beautiful. It's all metal, with a clean silver base and black foundation. The tower feels extremely sturdy and of high quality. The canvas screen on the inside of the light was slightly misaligned, but with the lights on, it's hardly noticeable.

Oh hell... at least the lock works... well... not that either...

The item arrived dinged and dented. I have included pictures (above) and can take more, but I would prefer to not remember how lousy this purchase experience was for me, so (for now) I'll let it go at that.

The handles (grab area) are warped, the rail for the bottom drawer does not appear to work properly so one side (left) falls off the rail completely exposing the BB track that appears to have been sheared off. There are scratches here and there, but for argument sake, they are minor... HA HA imagine that...

The biggest dent is on the back right corner where it looked like someone was challenged to set a new standard for the word 'dropshipped'... See the pictures and try to understand why I am upset...

Initially, I figured well... maybe its the shipper, but then on closer inspection of the unit I noticed some of the most horrible paint work I've seen. There are overpaint spots and insufficient paint spots... on top of this, the measurement is wrong. the unit appears to be 28" tall, while the seller list height as 29" and the box says 26 and something inches.

MAYBE... just maybe it was dropped so hard on itself that it shrank by nearly an inch...

I have contacted the seller, but can only hope that they can understand I can not allocate more time to wait for them to do things right. They really need to take quite a few dollars off what (isn't just 'appears to be', but) is a substandard product.

Oh yeah... one nice thing... Its made here in America... OH C'MON GUYS!!! be proud to represent and sell a descent American product and not play this moronic game. You get one chance to make a good impression... and ,sadly, you failed.

First of all, this chair looks all shiny and glossy in the picture, but it is definitely not. It's just a matte faux leather look. It's still a nice look, but I really wanted it to be shiny like the picture. They must have rubbed the chair down with some vaseline or baby oil before they took the picture! Also, it's not as comfortable as I thought. The seat cushion is not very cushiony and kind of flat. Also, after only a few short weeks, the chair is already lopsided and tilting to one side.........and it's creaking and squeaking already. It does look nice and the armrests and base are really sturdy; it's just that the chair itself (cushion parts) are not that great or of a high quality. Then, I was so bummed out because I ordered it and I got a Lane Bryant plus size furniture magazine a few days later with an even nicer chair, that was the same brown, but wider and more plush and for half the price (only $99.99)!! That totally bummed me out! This chair is okay and if I tested it in the store, I still probably would've bought it because it is somewhat comfortable. It's just that it's not wearing well and kind of getting worn out waaaaaaay to soon.............knowing this, I would've searched for a better chair - probably in a store where you can test them out.
