I spend most of my work day sitting, and after using some "regular" chairs I got from my local everything-including-the-kitchen-sink store and after my lower back started complaining, I decided that it was time for an upgrade. After taking a look at several options on Amazon, I decided that this chair was exactly what I was looking for. I decided to give it a try and I couldn't have been happier with my decision.

The chair did not arrive assembled, but the assembly was not all that difficult - not as easy as a two-piece lamp for instance, but certainly easier than a bookshelf or any other big piece of furniture. The assembly instructions were extremely clear and easy to follow. Don't throw away or destroy the box that the chair came in before you put it together - the box comes in handy for propping up various parts of the chair during the assembly.

The build of this chair is very sturdy. The chair is of a much better quality than I had expected. It is very firm and stable, and gives you a lot of support. However it is not too rigid and it feels very flexible. The back rest is very comfortable and the mesh that it's made out of will help prevent you from sweating too much during the long work hours. The only part of the chair that is adjustable are the arm rests - you have some flexibility in how far apart you set them, but you can only do this during the assembly or later on with a use of a screwdriver. This lack of adjustably, however, is not such a big issue for me.

I am really glad that I go this chair and now I am looking forward to working extended hours sitting down in the same place.

I wanted a torchiere in a brass finish which would look nice and somewhat dressy. After much searching on line, I purchased this Kichler. When it arrived, I was impressed at how carefully it was packed, and the general quality of the merchandise. The base was good and heavy, the pole had a solid, substantial feel, and the lamp bowl felt and looked like real alabaster. There was no problem using a large 3-way CFL bulb. What really sold me was the ease of putting it together. I am not especially handy, but the pole sections only had to be screwed together-- no tools at all needed, not even a screw driver. I so liked the lamp, that for another location in our new home, I bought a second one a few days later. If this style lamp appeals to you, I would definitely recommend it.

(This is actually the wife reviewing) :)
I rarely submit reviews, but wanted to save others from assuming that this is a white table. Yes - it's called white spectrum. It's probably white underneath all of the overpowering grey spray/dots covering it. The overall effect is a grey table.
I am using it as a desk, and one thing that is bothering me so far is that when I am writing, I notice the table shaking a bit under my hand. It's not as stable as I'd want it to be (I have it on medium pile carpet, though I don't think that makes a difference). Overall, it's fine. It matches my Mac since it's actually GREY, and it's serving its purpose, but I don't know that I would choose this again. :/
