The first thing you need to know it is not made for real wood and if you look at the parts closely, they are not thick and smooth like more expensive furniture. So you can tell this thing is cheap. Packaging is very bad and of course 4 parts were scratched or damaged. I have to call manufacturer using direct number to get replacement parts which arrived very quickly (like 4 days). But a few replacements parts were even in worse shape then the original ones. Be ready for that too. Now as for the good things...Assembly is very easy and instructions very clear. Everything was put together nicely and easily using manual tools. Once assembled, the desk and hatch look awesome, but again I question reliability and longevity of this desk. If I saw that in store, I would probably spend a bit more $$ to get a desk made from real wood. At least they could make the desk top from wood.
