I bought two of these, and I will say up front that they are sturdy and gorgeous. The one complaint involves the assembly process. It is difficult to attach the legs to the base. My son and I tried for an hour, then gave up. I finished the next night with another person's help. There is some sort of washer that doesn't fit around the bolt as well as it should, and the nut is difficult to thread onto the bolt. Sounds like it should be easy, I know, but it took a while. Here's a tip -- you'll have to hold the lamp upside down to even attempt to attach the base, hence the need for two people. Again -- these are really nice lamps, just have a friend ready and willing to help you with assembly.
