My podiatrist suggested that I elevate my feet because I spend a lot of time on my computer. After what I thought was a thorough research for a foot rest, I opted for this one. The only problem was, it did not elevate my feet as high as my doctor would have preferred. I ended up putting two large books under it to get the acceptabe elevation. I realized that I should have looked for a foot rest that offered a higher elevation. So, I do not reccomend this particular foot rest if you need higher elevation. It's working for me now; but not without the two huge books that I have under it.
