In order to use this item, your doorknob and deadbolt lock must be within 11 inches of each other. If they are farther apart on your door, then this will not be able to fit over both of them. Be sure to measure your door before ordering.

(My deadbolt is too far above the doorknob for this device to reach both, but I was able to wedge it between the deadbolt and the corner of the perpendicular wall adjacent to my door, using it like a steering wheel club to prevent the lock from turning -- although not the intended purpose of this device.)

If this were about two or three inches longer, it would fit over more doorknob-deadbolt configurations.
