This is a well-made keyboard shelf, but they fail to mention that it won't work with most older keyboards. I know it says "fits most standard small pattern keyboards" but I didn't know what "small pattern" meant and stupidly ignored it. It is too narrow for anything except really brand new keyboards. We just purchased a new computer with a new, very narrow keyboard, and it fits - with about 1/4" to spare. That really seems a little too narrow to me. If I was getting one for an older computer, I'd have to send this back because it doesn't fit any older keyboards. I also don't like the mousing area below the keyboard - I would prefer that it be on the side, at the same level as the keyboard. As it is, it hits my knees. So I just mouse on the top of the desk instead. Still, it's sturdy and hopefully will last a very long time. For $100 it ought to. I can't believe the regular retail price is $150. That seems excessive.
